#67 - The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self w/ Dr. Carl Trueman
Thursday Apr 29, 2021
Thursday Apr 29, 2021
Today’s interview is with Dr. Carl Trueman about his recent book The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self: Cultural Amnesia, Expressive Individualism, and the Road to Sexual Revolution, a book of remarkable insight that shows the philosophical progression over the last several hundred years that has led to where we currently are with psychological identities, individualism, and the sexual revolution. As we (Michael writing here) interviewed Dr. Trueman, Andrei typed to me, “he’s too smart.” Andrei is right about Dr. Trueman’s insight, and we are also thankful for his comments on how Christians can respond to this cultural moment.
